Each system is different, and we customize our process to meet the needs of the individual. However there are certain things that we do as a failsafe process every time. Below is an outline of our standard procedures.
When we start working on any disk we always make sure that we image all disks. This ensures that the integrity of your original disk is kept intact. Then we extract your data from the imaged disk.
Hard drive systems support various different interfaces. Postal / Courier Service
Here at EDR we advise our customers to send in their hard disks via Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. We feel they are the best option, due to the fact that they offer up to £500 insurance and provide a service that delivers the disk to our door the very next day.
Include a covering letter with the following information:
Please include a letter that outlines your Full Contact Details (Full Name, Full Postal Address, Phone Number, Email Address).
If you can also write which service that you wish to use from our 3 options above, Standard, Express or Critical.
NB. If the service is not provided in your package then we will deliver our “Standard Service” by default.

Step 3 – Disk Arrives and is Inspected
The minute your Hard Disk lands in our office we will inspect it and perform a full diagnostic to assess the issues and the level of data recovery that we can recover from your Hard Disk. At this point you are under no obligation to pay us.We will then get in touch as soon as we have decided on the outcome. We normally advise customers that they will hear from us within 24 hours, our normal Standard Recovery process takes in the region of 48-96 hours to complete.
Step 4 – Your Data is Recovered and Saved
We will email you to confirm and allow you to pay for your data recovery service.When payment is received we will back up data onto your preferred media, normally DVD or portable hard disk.
Step 5 – Your data will be sent back to you
This is the best bit!You will receive your recovered data direct to your door via Next Day Courier Service. Our target is to always recover data within 24-96 hours of receiving disks. Our aim at MDR is to provide the fastest turn around at the best price in the UK and Ireland.
